Volker and Marc get two VES award nominations!

the Visual Effects Society (VES) announced today that Marc and Volker garnered two VES (Visual Effects Society) award nominations, for "Best Single Visual Effect of the Year", and "Best Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-driven movie". Volker Engel and Marc Weigert win Satellite Award(tm) for "2012" 

The win was announced at the 14th International Satellite Awards ceremony on Sunday evening, December 20th, in Century City, California. The statue, awarded by the International Press Academy (IPA), was accepted by Rony Soussan, compositing supervisor of the "rebel unit" team for the film "2012", on behalf of Engel and Weigert, who are currently in pre-production of Roland Emmerich's Shakespeare drama "Anonymous" in Berlin, Germany.
