Reviews for "Dark Kingdom":

"Man, the ads on SciFi Channel won me over but I'm really glad I watched this mini. After the first half, it completely took over my head and the second half did not disappoint. It combines all the best bits (or the bits I liked, anyway) from TNT's "Mists of Avalon" and from the "Lord of the Rings" movies and made this sweet, tragic, engaging drama. All that plus good acting, honest-to-goodness old fashioned character development, magic, destiny, a very butt-kicking Nordic queen--Kristanna Loken from "T3" (she comes into her own in the second half), AND the dragon was totally not even cheesy. Yes, there were maybe a couple plot holes and characters that could have used a little more character, but the acting was good enough and the plot cool enough it was really easy to overlook that. I usually only get into this sort of story if the world-building's done well--with an epic mystical/romantic tragedy like this it's more the spirit of the thing than the details, to me--so take this recommendation as you will."   AG from Lenexa, KS

"Anyone who loved Lord of the Rings movies should see this. It should have been called "King of Fire, Queen of Ice". Other than that, this is a flawless movie. It brings to life the legend of Siegfried and Brunhilde of Norse mythology. Further, it gives a taste of the passion and richness of Norse culture lacking in most depictions. (You'll never think of Scandinavians as boring again.) The music is haunting, the performances superb. Kristanna Loken gives a world-class performance as the valkyrie amazon queen (who knew her talent from T3?) Even the ending works, though it's not the kind of ending one expects from Hollywood."    Dances with future

"I caught this on Sci-Fi this week. Very good story, decent acting from most but Kristanna Loken was amazing. I think that if you enjoy movies such as Lord of the Rings, you will probably really enjoy this movie as well."   Amun Re

"Whole family liked this movie. Refreshing different rules for dragons, kings & queens & potions. Good mixture of sex, deceit & power. Ending was good, a little sad."  Cheryl Hasvold

Reviews for "Coronado":

"I was surprised that this is really a fun movie! It's not the boom-bang action movie you might expect from the cover, but a romantic adventure story with a female hero. It also sports lots of interesting sets (underground Mayan temples etc.) and has a wonderful soundtrack. As per action scenes - the movie is worth watching just for the bridge scene in the middle (seems to be an hommage to "sorcerer"). Don't expect Indiana Jones here. As you can see from the cast list, it's mainly no-names, but that's part of what's interesting. I for one don't want to watch the same five hollywood actors/actresses over and over again."   Sandy Wolf

"I liked this movie it was fun and funny. For all you like to see the Lady kick behind and get some laughs watch this one you'll laugh and be thrilled all in one."  PM from Peoria, AZ
